Olivia H. was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and spent most of her early years training and performing in the area. She danced in countless productions with Classical Ballet Academy of Minnesota and was featured in several prominent roles, including Clara and Rose Fairy in The Classic Nutcracker. In her last year at the school, she became an apprentice with Ballet Minnesota and was paid to dance the role of Nikiya in the company’s presentation of La Bayadere Act 2 for the Minnesota Dance Festival. She also attended high school at St. Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists, where she participated in additional training and performance opportunities as a member of the dance track. She then went on to receive an Honors Ballet BFA and a Nutrition Minor University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
 
Through the ballet program, she has had the chance to perform as a soloist in Justine Sheedy-Kramer’s contemporary ballet work Ebb and Flow and Melissa Bobick’s neoclassical trio Precipice, as well as work with renowned guest choreographer Rena Butler in her brand new commission Offshore. Upon graduation from the U, she received the Ballet Senior Award for Choreography, an honor bestowed on one student per year for her excellence in artistic creation. She is also a 200-hour certified instructor with Yoga Alliance, and supplements her love for dance with a consistent yoga practice. She is currently dancing with Azara Ballet Company in Bradenton, Florida, and pursuing a career in performing, teaching, and choreography.
